2/18 Meeting Recap, and notes for next meeting

Our Saturday meeting is less than 48 hours away, but it’s never too late for a Meeting Recap!

Last time, at Mocha Monkey, a handful of our intrepid writers started off the meeting by sharing our thoughts about our writing time, and how some of us guard that time with a vengeance. It’s important to view your writing time as a precious commodity. You are a word magician. The words are your magic. They deserve your full attention, and you deserve the time to strengthen, explore, imagine, and revel in that magic. Making the time is important, especially when you have a goal for a project (whether it’s publishing a book, finding the right words for a poem, or finishing a thought). It won’t write itself!

Our next meeting:

When: Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.

Where: Waconia Library, fireplace area

Prompt(s): Cinderella exercise (if you haven’t done it, we strongly recommend!). ALSO: Find a photo that sparks something, write a descriptive piece inspired by the photo and using sensory information. Bring the photo to share at the next meeting.
