Hello writers,
It was a quiet meeting in the library on Saturday the 2nd, but in the face of adversity (a.k.a. hopelessly broken Carver County Library wifi) we persevered! We welcomed some friends from the Chanhassen Writers’ Group, shared our works in progress and the inspired products of writing prompts past.
Next meeting’s writing prompt:
For our next Sunday meeting at Mocha Monkey (September 17th), the group decided on a “free write“: bring whatever you’ve been working on, or write a page or two of what’s in your heart! Anything goes this time around.
National Novel Writing Month, November 1-30, 2017
A few members of the group are gearing up for National Novel Writing Month, and would like to discuss with the group the possibility of setting up a few write-ins during the month of November, as part of the NaNoWriMo festivities. All are welcome to participate, so we’d like some input at our next meeting about possible days/times/locations, from anyone who is interested!
Miscellany:
Don’t forget to join your literary colleagues and register for the Loft-sponsored class: Characters, Plot, Setting: Strengthening Your Story, being held at Waconia City Hall on September 30th!
