In honor of the historically writerly month of November, Waconia Writers’ Group is providing some space and support for writers in Waconia, Carver County, and the greater Twin Cities metro!
We’ve held two write-ins at Waconia Library so far this month, and consensus is these sessions have been a motivating and appreciated addition to our network of support within our little writing community.
WWG Write-Ins, Celebrating National Novel Writing Month
THIRD WRITE-IN: Monday, November 21, 6:30-8:00 PM, Waconia Library,
Magazine Corner Meeting/Activity Room.*
*The Activity Room is to your immediate left when you enter the library, between the fireplace area and the computers.
ABOUT OUR EVENT: It’s once again time to take on the annual challenge of writing the equivalent of a novel’s worth of words in November. Also known as National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo for short), our group has sponsored our own events for this month-long write-a-thon in years past. We took a break in recent years, but we’re back! WWG members will be gathering every Monday evening in November to work on their writing projects, share resources/advice/camaraderie, and some of them might even immerse themselves in the challenge of writing 50,000 words in 30 days!
Bring a project! Write! Enjoy some snacks and the company of your writing peers. Come when you can, stay as long as you want. You don’t have to be participating in NaNoWriMo (or writing a novel) to join in on the fun!
